Benefits of Coconut Soy Candles

  • Soy wax burns 30-50% slower than paraffin wax, making candles last longer.
  • Eco-friendly, producing little to no soot and no harmful toxins.
  • Approximate burn time for a 6oz candle: 25 hours.

Safe Candle Burning Guidelines

Before Lighting:

  • Trim the wick to ¼ inch to prevent uneven burning, dripping, or flaring.
  • Keep the wax free of wick trimmings, matches, and debris.
  • Use a heat-resistant, sturdy candleholder designed for candles.
  • Avoid placing candles in drafty areas to prevent uneven burning or excess soot.
  • Follow the manufacturer's burn time recommendations (typically, no more than 4 hours at a time).

While Burning:

  • Never leave a candle unattended or near anything flammable.
  • Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
  • Avoid touching or moving a lit candle or one with melted wax.
  • Stop burning when ½ inch of wax remains (2 inches for pillar candles).
  • Place candles at least 3 inches apart to prevent improper burning.
  • Extinguish the candle if the flame is too high or flickers repeatedly, then trim the wick and check for drafts.

Extinguishing a Candle:

  • Use a snuffer to safely extinguish the flame.
  • Do not use water, as it can cause hot wax to splatter or break glass containers.
  • Ensure the wick is fully out and the wax is cool before touching or moving the candle.
  • Avoid scraping wax from glass holders to prevent damage or weakening.

For added safety, never use candles as night lights or during power outages where battery-powered alternatives are safer.
